Mold remediation - skirting with visible growth (pre-remediation)
  • Cause & conditions: diagnose the moisture source and stabilise humidity/ventilation before works
  • Scope & risk: assess materials and extent, define work zones/PPE, and adjust for at-risk occupants
  • Containment with negative pressure: dedicated egress; pressure maintained throughout
  • HEPA air filtration: continuous during works; run post-clean for particle control
  • Controlled removal: cut-back of unsalvageable porous materials to clean margins
  • Surface correction: clean and restore semi/non-porous substrates to IICRC standards
  • Cleaning sequence: HEPA sandwich / double HEPA sandwich → HEPA vac → clean → HEPA vac
  • Targeted antimicrobials: apply antimicrobial biocides/agents where indicated and compatible with materials
  • Verification: pass visual/cleanliness and bring materials back to dry standard; independent clearance as/if required
  • Close-out: remove containment once acceptance is met; prevention guidance
